Pixels (Day 18 Of NaPoWriMo)

Reflective

Like that of a mirror, puddle,

Tranquil lake.

Sphere-shaped lens

Glued to your face

Attached to the bridge

Of your nose.

A permanent mark like

A sentence’s period

Comma, colon, semi.

Exposed world

A child understanding

The inner-workings and functions

Of its surroundings.

Circular clips

Tiny pixels.

Far away

Yet, close enough.

I witnessed things

I could marvel at for hours

I saw things

I wanted wiped from my mind

Immediately.

The fragments

The metal parts

And very gears.

The elements both

Light and heavy

Dark and bright

Holdable and droppable.

This was the world.
