9 Seven Word Poems

“Grayscale language
Invisibility bleeds,
Pastel’s vigorous absence.”

“The glitter dribbles,
And it profusely stings.”

“Land, sea
Mapped wrinkles, creases
On sleeves.”

“Rhythmic pacing of
Cement pouring,
Daytime fades.”

“Eleven thousand
Lavender skies
Have surpassed us.”

“Balcony door
Open for
You, sun, moon.”

In the shade of
Rubied pomegranate.”

“The vintage air
Pricks our nostrils nostalgically.”

“Desert rains,
I am only
Your afterthought.”
