Novels On My Reading List

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. Having a book by your bedside is an easy reminder to get your daily word count in. Plus, reading is a relaxing way to conclude any day. I have a packed bookshelf that has no more space for more novels, but that hasn’t hindered my expansive list of books I want to read. For me, being surrounded by stories is a fulfilling experience. And as a writer, books are golden inspiration!

Be sure to follow me on GoodReads to keep up with my reading habits:

Since I was young, I loved reading. Books accompanied my rides on the bus to and from school. And any free-moments I could find during homeroom or in class, I’d soak in a few minutes of reading. I visited the school library and my local bookstore as I often as I could. Even now, a trip to Barnes & Noble is one of my favorite excursions.

It has always been hard for me to understand how anyone could dislike reading. Simply, there is something special about watching words tell a story, entertain, build suspense, and be something relatable. I love every single part and emotion that reading brings.

Some of my favorite books from my younger years includes Wendy Mass’ A Mango Shaped Space, Judy Blume’s Fudge series, Beverly Cleary’s Beezus and Ramona series, Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Carl Hiaasen’s Hoot, and more.

Now, my genre preferences are young adult, literary fiction, and adult contemporary.
